Two different bottles of Cabernet every month.
Cabernet wine is grown in nearly every major wine producing country. It is one of the world’s most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. While Cabernet Sauvignon can grow in a variety of climates, its suitability as a varietal wine or as a blend component is strongly influenced by the warmth of the climate. Gourmet Food Club’s Cabernet Club wines are produced in wineries in the California Central Coast’s American Viticultural Areas, including wineries in Paso Robles, the Santa Barbara wine country and more, which are known for making some of the tastiest wines around. In fact, the cabernet sauvignon grape is the most planted grape in this region. As they say, location, location, location!
This monthly wine club brings you only Cabernets made from small production, artisan wineries from California, known to be of a sweeter variety, possessing aromas of stewed black currants. Cabernet is a sultry wine in my mind, it pairs well with a lit fire and some sexy tunes. Should you wish to add food to the mix, the Gourmet Food Club website also includes a link to Chef Vivant’s wine pairing website for inspiration and guidance on recipes that compliment one another.
